Club Coach | World Championship Placer
Coach Koo has spent many years as a competitor competing in Freestyle wrestling and has had the opportunity to compete on some of the biggest stages including the Freestyle World Championship where he placed 5th in the 96 Kilogram Weight Class.
He has a great passion to pass his learnings onto the next generation of wrestlers. His coaching style focuses on teaching the core movements of freestyle wrestling through a structured training program that builds strong fundamentals, physical conditioning, and match-ready instincts. Athletes will master essential techniques like takedowns, positioning, and escapes while developing a strong stance, movement, and balance.
Training also emphasizes strength and conditioning to enhance explosive power, endurance, flexibility, and agility. To maximize match readiness, wrestlers will practice with various opponents to improve adaptability and real-match instincts.
